Mercury and Venus are moving retrograde this week in between the eclipses (New Moon Solar Eclipse will be on March 29th at 9 degrees Aries). Mercury and Venus are the planets closest to Earth, closest to us. This could be why their movement affects us more on a personal level. We feel their retrograde movements in our daily lives, more than we might notice Pluto or Neptune or Uranus (the outer, transpersonal planets) moving retrograde.
I was looking at daffodil bulbs pushing their way through the first breath of Spring soil, remarking on their soft, tender foliage, realizing the push for growth comes from deep inside the bulb, signaled to get things moving by changes in temperature and light. I feel like the more in tune I get with my own inner impulses – when to push forward, when to retreat, and when to lay still, I am aligning with forces that are happening, and I feel more at ease. Go with the retrogrades. Enjoy the pace.
Mercury will retrograde back into Pisces March 31 – April 16.
Venus will retrograde back into Pisces March 28 – April 30.
After briefly moving retrograde back into dreamy Pisces, Mercury and Venus will both re-enter Aries. During these windows of revisiting Pisces, it’s entirely possible to experience things you thought you made progress on, as maybe not so. Don’t be at all surprised if you feel like you’re treading water or you move forward only to find yourself moving backwards again. Patience with yourself (and the times) is Aries’ challenge, Aries who prefers action and movement and running ahead, with little concern for consequences.
The retrogrades are slowing you down so you can reconsider action. Things will start moving more quickly in May so for now, embrace the slowness. Let things unfold as you take time for review. You will have more clarity in May. Things that have needed upgrade, after the retrograde review period, will get upgraded and forward moment will be waaay easier.
Spring has just arrived in the Northern hemisphere. All things reveal themselves in their proper time. Any plant will tell you that.
