Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 3.3.2026

I was out in the yard appreciating everything and I noticed that the three bunnies that live in the backyard under the spiraea hedge had created a tunnel, a portal, a rabbit hole into their protected world in the hedgerow. Even throughout the winter the spiraea offers protection from the elements and also from uninvited visitors as the branches form an impenetrable thicket.I looked through the branches to see if I could take a peek into the bunny world under the spiraea bush and I found an old motor pump half exposed through the soil, which I promptly removed from the bunny’s shelter.

And this got me thinking of this upcoming Full Moon lunar eclipse happening on March 3rd
at 12 degrees Virgo. But first I need to reflect on the Solar eclipse of February 17th as it was (and still is) super intense for me personally, perhaps for you as well, and certainly in the collective with all kinds of dramatic events unfolding, including all the unexpected performances at the Olympics and some profound power shifts around the world creating mayhem and chaos.

With Uranus at 27 degrees Taurus squaring that new moon solar eclipse,,,it’s no surprise how intense and potentially shattering that energy was (and still is) with Uranus parked at 27 degrees Taurus until March 11. To clarify: If you have planets or angle points at 27 degrees Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius you will undoubtedly be reeling from this energy blast. Uranus will be moving forward and will enter the mutable Air sign Gemini on April 27. This radical planetary energy will be transiting through  Gemini well into 2033, 7 years from now.

And now the partner in this pair of eclipses, the lunar eclipse, presents itself as a different kind of energy altogether and that brings me back to the bunny tunnel and the spiraea hedge. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and Moon, only ever at a full moon, creating a reddish glow on the moon. There’s a cool scientific explanation for this phenomenon that you can google if you want more details of the how it happens. Astrologically I am most interested in the effects.

Like the bunny portal, an eclipse of the moon allows you entree into parts of your own emotional psyche that may not always be available for you, parts that you keep under wraps, that you perceive keep you safe. The Sun is at 12 degrees Pisces, opposing the Moon at 12 degrees Virgo. In a sense this is a support eclipse in that it can reveal ways to help you create the balance between your daily routines (Virgo) and your expansive, spiritual self (Pisces). Balancing chaos and surrender with some semblance of order will help you best navigate these wonky wobbly times. First comes the invitation go through the portal of protection (the thicket) to what lies deep inside. Then comes the opportunity to see what has not been seen. And then you have the choice to shift what no longer feels aligned. I always seek support through talking things out, receiving energy work, acupuncture, and body work. When shifts are made through all the systems, the work is supported and you can rest into your own healing.

To identify and then express, to emotionally declare, to notice what is now revealed as other parts remain hidden. It’s a time of great and profound mystery, a time to allow for a deep level of inner re-organization. A look at where your need for order can work with your need for spiritual health, embracing the act of surrender within a safe container.

Where does 12 degrees Virgo fall in your chart, which house, which area of your life? Are there any planets or points from 9 to 15 degrees Virgo? Want to know more about how the eclipses are specifically affecting your chart and playing out in your life? And what about the Solar eclipse at that fell at 28 (almost 29) degrees Aquarius? These are the areas that will be influenced by the eclipse energies.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 3.3.26

Spied these brilliant blue royalty-esque irises on my walk yesterday. Be with what is. True these are a month early but that is only if you attach yourself to the linearity of time. With so many planets transiting Pisces at this Full Moon – Mars at zero Pisces, North node at 8 degrees Pisces, Sun at 12 degrees Pisces, Mercury at 20 degrees Pisces, and Venus at 26 degrees Pisces there is a lot of leeway for the fluidity of time and all things we think are fixed, but come to find out, aren’t.

I have been watching a pretty intense drama on HBO called Industry. I like to tap into the cultural zeitgeist, you know – what’s going on out there in the collective, otherwise I am strictly, almost reclusively local! I heard two lines in the dialogue that I thought were so poignant for these times. I share them with you now:

“The greatest tragedy is unfulfilled potential.”

“I want to be better. If I don’t want to be a better person, why am I here?”

I’ll be considering these thoughts and so many others as this lunar eclipse brings forth all sorts of things that have been buried in the thicket of my own emotional body.

May your lunar experiences enlighten and delight! And may you have deep compassion for yourself and for others as we ascend.
