Uranus enters Gemini
Uranus, planet of rebellion, planet of breakthrough, planet of chaos and innovation, genius, and things beyond your ken. The ride is getting wilder. No stopping that. Gemini, ruled by mischief-maker Mercury, is the mutable Air sign of curiosity, information gathering, chattering, and endless desire to experience new and different things. Uranus is the higher octave, higher expression of Mercury. Things are going to get VERY BUSY in the mental realm, triggering your nervous system into potential overload. You’re going to have to consciously disconnect from the constant buzz in order to keep yourself sane, unless you’re pretty Uranian yourself, in which case this is just the time you’ve been waiting for. Uranian or not, feet on the Earth is the best way to ground and center yourself.
Uranus will make its first entry into Gemini on July 7th, retrograding back into Taurus November 2025 through late April 2026, moving fully into Gemini on April 28, 2026 where it will be stirring up all kinds of seemingly impossible experiences through May, 2033. It’s a long haul, not a sprint. Many new ideas will be presented to us collectively and to you personally. Staying open and flexible to all possibilities is the Gemini way. The beauty of following the astrology of the times is so you can follow all the cosmologic antics play out in relation to your own chart, aligning yourself with the flow. When you are aligned with your personal flow in relation to bigger happenings the ride becomes that much more enjoyable. I often think of astrological projections as a kind of weather forecast, a forecast of energies. Umbrellas of the energetic kind are optional, but highly suggested.
If you have angles or planets a few degrees either side of zero Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces (the mutable signs) you probably will feel a rush of mental energy in the areas of your chart where those planets or angles are. This is super exciting as long as the mental thoughts don’t overwhelm. Use proper boundaries to filter incoming information. And ground yourself frequently during the day.
Mercury retrograde 18 July – 11 August 2025
Mercury stations retrograde on July 18 at 15 degrees Leo, retrograding back to 4 degrees Leo on August 11. Mercury in Leo is flamboyant, even over the top, enjoying the drama, the spotlight, triggering your creative impulses. Singing out loud while in your favorite show outfit – such is the Leo influence. Enjoy it! Make sure you have plenty of playtime as Leo loves to play and when deprived of play and appropriate appreciation becomes quite difficult, demanding and petulant. To help you avoid any temper tantrums during Mercury retrograde, give yourself as much down time as possible to drool over fun activities and get your smile radiating from within.
We are in the shadow weeks leading up to Mercury retrograde so you are probably already experiencing snafus and annoyances that mischievous Mercury loves to stir. Pick and choose what you get worked up about and what you can let go, which is all things over which you have no control, which is pretty much everything except your own self.
