The Sun moved into Cancer at the Summer Solstice, June 21. Summer has officially arrived in the northern climes with the days getting shorter while for our friends south of the equator the days are lengthening in the ever moving cycle of the Earth’s relationship to the Sun, our great central star, pulsing life source of our galaxy. Lots of solar flares and explosions in the Sun’s own evolution; we on Earth feel the impact as well. Increased seismic activity, extreme weather, hazy skies from far away (and maybe closer) fires and still we each are living our own creative, expressive lives, all against the dramatic backdrop of life in the great Milky Way.
This is why I am so interested in astrology – to see the cosmic weather unfolding and to find my own place in the expression of this evolving system of change. Following cycles and experiencing their impact feels exciting in the macro sense and informative for my own unfolding journey. Knowing where the planets are moving and what their impact is on one another is interesting but ever more so when I can track and feel the energies of their movement as relevant to my own life, which I do!
Eclipses coming in August. Summer eclipses foretell changes through the Fall and Winter.
This is an epic summer for astrological events the likes of which we have never seen or experienced on our planet before, not in any annals of recorded time. The light, the intensified energies feel so potent to me I find I am experiencing levels of exhaustion like never before. Perhaps you are feeling this as well. Think of babies and how much they need to sleep.
So much growth happening and the body needs to assimilate input and rest. In a sense we are all babies right now, taking in all kinds of powerful new energies for our own growth, needing lots of downtime to assimilate and integrate all that is coming in. I slept over 12 hours last night. I needed it. Are you sleeping enough? If you feel tired, lie down. Much integrating and healing occurs in your sleeptime. Not to mention the work you are doing in your dreams.
It’s a powerful time of energy movement. Know it and choose accordingly.

Uranus and Mars conjoin in Gemini
Am I seeing what is real?
Uranus at 3 and 4 degrees Gemini, amplified and charged up with Mars conjoining Uranus at zero degrees Gemini. I have definitely been feeling that. Am I seeing what is real or what is the reflection of reality? Grounding yourself in your own reality is a must-do every day practice these days when illusion can appear as reality and vice versa. Using your discernment is now more necessary than ever before. Your own discernment, not someone else’s. Their reality might be (and probably is) quite different from your own. Tapping into your own voice, your own truth is a MUST these days.
Mars is just entering Gemini, transiting the mutable Air sign where Uranus is stirring up the dust, until August 12 and Chiron just entered the fixed Earth sign Taurus where it will be until September, retrograding back into Aries (where Saturn and Neptune are doing their dance) until April 2027 when Chiron will be transiting Taurus until 2033.
Jupiter enters fixed FIRE sign Leo on June 30 where it will be doing its magic until July 2027. Look to where Leo is in your chart – expansion to be expected all year and specifically where Jupiter activates any of your planets and/or angle points.
Mercury turns retrograde at 26 degrees Cancer on June 29 just as the
Moon turns Full at 8 degrees Capricorn.
And we haven’t even touched on what’s happening in July when Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter are all at 4 degrees of the sign they are transiting.
Pluto at 4 degrees Aquarius, stationing retrograde on July 7.
Neptune at 4 degrees Aries.
Uranus at 4 degrees Gemini.
Jupiter at 4 degrees Leo.

Mercury stations retrograde on June 29 at 26 degrees Cancer. The mischievous cosmic messenger will retrograde back to 16 degrees Cancer on July 22 where it will station Direct and move forward to 26 degrees Cancer by August 7th. The perfect time to re-visit and review your communication style. Are you being loving and supportive to yourself (first) and then to others? Are you nurturing and caring for your own needs so you can be nurturing and supportive to others? Cancer loves comfort and safety on the home front, whether you’re dwelling in a mansion or out of backpack, creating a good nest for yourself will help you feel grounded and secure. Communication glitches are a given. How you respond to them is your choice to make, each and every time.
The Full Moon at 8 degrees Capricorn on June 29 is a call to self-responsibility. Capricorn is a sign of sovereignty and leadership, making your own decisions based on experience and knowledge, so that you can be strong and clear in how you move forward, even if it’s just how you navigate going to the grocery store. Full Moons are times of illumination, when you can see more clearly with your intuitive, lunar sense of what needs to be let go and what needs to be maintained and nurtured for your clearest expression of yourself. If the Moon aspects planets or angle points in your chart those are the areas illuminated for clearer seeing.
