Leaves are just beginning to turn in my neck of the woods. I planted some hardy pansies in my garden pots. Pumpkins and squashes are abundant at the local markets. Birds are heading to warmer climes and the sun is slanting more and more in the southern sky. The Autumn eclipses of 2024 are happening!

The first eclipse of the pair is a Full Moon Lunar eclipse occurring at 25 degrees Pisces on September 17.
The second eclipse of the pair will occur on October 2nd – an annular Solar Eclipse– at 10 degrees Libra.

If an eclipse hits within 3 degrees of a planet or point in your birth chart it will trigger the beginning of significant growth and change in your world. Let’s see what’s brewing in your Autumn transits! Being in the KNOW is the best way to be in the NOW, supporting you to navigate Life with ease and grace. That sounds sooo good to me – navigating with ease and grace. Yes, please!

AUTUMN ECLIPSE SPECIAL

The Full Moon at 25 degrees Pisces (opposite the Sun at 25 degrees Virgo) conjoins Neptune moving retrograde at 28 degrees Pisces. I would imagine this would be a rather dreamy Full Moon, though watch for illusions appearing to be real. Confusing fiction with fact is a hallmark of Neptunian energy. For sure hold off making major decisions until after the Moon moves into Aries on September 19.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth casts a shadow on the Moon. This Full Moon is a partial lunar eclipse so only the top 8% of the moon will be in shadow. This Full Moon is also a SUPERMOON so it will appear larger and way brighter. FUN! Get out there and give a great big HOWL at this September Harvest Moon!

Venus at 23 degrees Libra opposes Chiron moving retrograde at 22 degrees Aries. Desire for healing aggression is in the air, aided by diplomatic, peace-loving Libran Venus.

Mercury, ruler of Virgo, at 14 degrees Virgo opposes Saturn moving retrograde at 15 degrees Pisces. Great aspect for discerning what is practical and useful and what is pure fantasy, Maybe some of that mercurial energy would be best used to put some of that Piscean non-linear stuff into form.

Uranus moving retrograde at 27 degrees Taurus squares Pluto moving retrograde at 29 degrees Capricorn. Upheaval pushing the boundaries of deep social change.

Note that Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all moving retrograde. Patience is the name of the game. Surrender to divine timing to keep yourself sane.

Jupiter in Gemini is activating your mind, perhaps to the extreme. Time communing with the natural world calms the mind.

Mars transiting Cancer encourages leadership and action-taking from a Moon-directed, emotionally nurturing connected perspective. If only….

Virgo tidiness rules!

I’d have to agree with my furry friend and say that tidying my space does help my mind relax. I re-organized my ribbon collection the other night and slept better. My Mercury and Jupiter are both in Virgo so this is great time of year for me. I always feel like I’ve awoken from a deep slumber and am surprised at how much needs to be tended. So I get to tending my stuff, what I’m responsible for in my world and, when I get that down to a manageable roar, I feel pretty good.

What do you like to do that makes you feel really good?
Serving and fulfilling your own needs will relax you and help you move more into your personal power.

I have been thinking A LOT about personal power these days as this is the primary focus of our HEART VOICE training we begin on Saturday, September 14. We’ll address questions like: What can I choose? Who do I answer to? How can I make decisions with joyful confidence when all choices feel somewhat wonky right now?

Who can I trust? Do I trust myself? and anything else that is clouding your mind these days about stepping into your personal power.

It’s no surprise that we are adrift in questions these days, what with Jupiter transiting the over-busy, mercurial mind sign of Gemini until June 2025. This transit is hyper-stimulating to the mind, Keep an eye on your mind going full tilt for too long. Rest is best. Cat naps, with or without a cat, highly recommended.

A pair of eclipses are coming up, triggering changes and shifts towards whatever is next, whatever is needed for the grand evolutionary leap we are each making, the evolutionary leap you are making in your own awareness.

The Autumn Equinox is approaching on September 22, a magical day of equal day and equal night, after which the days will shorten for us north of the equator, lengthen for our friends south of the equator, as we make out way to the Winter Solstice on December 21. The Autumn Equinox marks the entry of the Sun into Libra, moving the focus from self to other and self with others. But before that…we’re still in Virgo, acknowledging the fruits of your labors, canning and whatnot, perhaps metaphorically, perhaps not.

Mercury re-enters Virgo today, September 10, after its retrograde cycle back into Leo. Mercury rules Virgo and is greatly helpful in analyzing thoughts before ordering them in some fashion of sense-making. Great for problem-solving, especially things that are detailed.

With Venus transiting Libra and Mars transiting Cancer these days hopefully, you are feeling a tad bit softer around the edges. At the very least you’re assessing things with a fair mind and supportive actions.

Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all moving retrograde. Pluto retrogrades back to 29 degrees Capricorn through November 20. The Old Guard fights, gasping, to hold on to control. A wild ride, for sure!

I was way up in the hills this week and caught the sun glowing on this quintessential high desert montane wildflower – Indian paintbrush – Castillega occidentalis. Investigating the genus and species name of this Rocky Mountain variety of Indian paintbrush
I found that the Castillega genus of riotously colored blooms live in many, many places all over the world and I had a moment of true wonder. Plants can do that to me. And then I had another moment of wonder at the internet as an endless source of botanical information and phenomenal pictures of the said specimens.

And then I flipped way back to a conversation I had with my very best friend Susie when we were probably 10 years old or so and we mused on the idea of how fabulous it would be if every question you had could be answered by dialing a number on your phone, asking someone anything you wanted to know, and they would tell you. And voila! Some years later the internet came into our reality and our idea manifested in ways we could never have imagined.

Which is all to say….DREAM BIG! and let your dream-thoughts percolate in the cosmic sea of possibilities. You really don’t know how many other beings around the world are holding the same vision as you and perhaps just the right people at just the right time will take that idea and run with it and something amazing and wonderful is born into form – good things that help our world ascend from a polarity paradigm to one of Unity consciousness. I know A LOT of people are holding this vibration right now.
