Full SUPERMOON in Capricorn – 3 July 2023

I have been very busy doing exactly what I love to do and I hope this FULL MOON, the first of 4 SUPERMOONS in a row, finds you doing exactly what you love to do. A SUPERMOON occurs when the Moon is closest to the Earth in its elliptical orbit. Tides are stronger. As are emotions!

The axis of the Sun in Cancer opposing the Full Moon in Capricorn invites you to look at the balance between receptive flow and directive action, between release and push, between retreat to safety and bold reaching for your highest potential. Where the Full Moon falls in your chart will show you where this is playing out in your own howling!

Mercury conjoins the Sun in Cancer. You may notice how your thoughts are influenced by your feelings, and vice versa. Watch your own level of sensitivity and how much your thoughts are tempered, or not, by what you feel. Choose loving words of support for others and for yourself and watch sharp edges soften under Cancerian gentleness. The Capricorn moon promises the thrill of challenge when you go for what you really want. Much is unfolding on the global scene as Pluto completes its 16-year cycle through Capricorn, purging patriarchal patterns (not fun for anyone involved in this epic purging) preparing for Its entry into Aquarius in January 2024. It is quite clear how the energies played out when Pluto last completed its tun through Capricorn – the American and French revolutions of the late 1700’s and the birth of democracy, are playing out in many places in our world.

We are entering the next level of clearing out inequalities. You undoubtedly will see your own purging of inequalities where Pluto is working in your own chart. Deep excavation required.

Mars at 25 degrees Leo and Venus at 22 degrees Leo form a really tight conjunction in the fixed FIRE sign. Lots of drama is to be expected. Make yours a joyous drama of love, laughter, and creative expression. Let LOVE be the be-all and end-all of all your interactions.

I’m not big on 4th of July celebrations as I think fireworks are disastrous to wildlife and an assault on my sensitive hearing. I probably will lay very low in some underground lair and pray for a wild storm to come in. I do love the concept of LIBERATION from TYRANNY and I wish that for you – that you are FREE of any and all tyranny, including (and especially) the tyranny of any self-negating or unloving thoughts towards yourself!

After weeks and weeks of rain here in the foothills of the Rockies, it feels like SUMMER is indeed approaching.
The SUMMER SOLSTICE, the longest day of the year for those of us north of the equator, JUNE 21, 2023, holds the
seeds of winter in its expansion into vibrant LIGHT. We each hold this light precious, the inner light of SUMMER we remember
in the depths of winter, sentient beings of the eternal cycles of Nature. To rejoice in the NOW is to know that all things are in motion,
all things are changing, and all things are part of the cyclical nature of our universe.

I watched birds dance and sing in the yard today. There was courting and jousting, swirling and twirling in mid-air acrobatics. And then a finch flew within inches of my face, fluttering in front of my face. Maybe she thought I was one of them. I could only hope.

The Sun enters the cardinal water sign Cancer.at the Summer Solstice. Ruled by the Moon, Cancer responds to feelings. Moody, reflective, sometimes withdrawn, Cancer allows for the rhythmic patterns of flow and retreat we feel at the water’s edge. In this sweet, nurturing time of Cancer, go visit places of water. Feel the flow, the pull, the ineffable letting go to forces that run deep in your blood, the tides of the planet, the cycles of coming and going, leaving and staying, yearning and receiving, all happening seemingly at that very same moment that you are aware of your own flowing life force.

Saturn stationed retrograde on June 17 at 7 degrees Pisces. Saturn will move all the way back to 0 degrees Pisces in early November. A beautiful and auspicious time to review your commitment (Saturn) to your spiritual practice (Pisces). Saturn retrograde will slow things down, giving you plenty of time to consider and commit to which path to inner peace, calm, and surrender is best for you.

Pluto retrograded back to 29 degrees Capricorn on June 12, re-entering 0 degrees Aquarius on January 22, 2024. As Pluto completes its transit through the cardinal Earth sign Capricorn, much of the old ways that do not support forward, progressive growth will be put to rest. For each of us, the letting go of what no longer serves is the work of the remainder of 2023. As it turns out, letting go seems to be more challenging than many of us thought. Back to your spiritual practice!

playing with her favorite toys. Play with no agenda but to play. Give yourself a day (or an hour!) off from responsibilities and have-to’s. Let yourself bask in the life-affirming energy of the Leo moon.

Are you revved and ready to get mental?

The New Moon in Gemini is joined by the ruler of the mutable Air sign Gemini, none other than the mischievous, busy doing all kinds of mental gymnastics, Mercury. Considering that planets transiting the sign they rule fully express their nature and that planets conjoining a New or Full Moon are highly activated, we can expect to be flying through some highly activated thought forms at this New Moon. Busy, busy mind. Busy chatter.

Which is all to say, your mind will probably be overworking with the incessant chatter it likes to keep up, holding you hostage in a habitually familiar state of being, thoughts racing through your mind at any particular time. That’s why meditation is such a powerful tool to help you navigate this rugged terrain of consciousness expansion we are experiencing, each in our own way, You, in your own way. The more you can calm your mind down, releasing the endless chatter, the easier it is to move gracefully through your life and all that you choose to experience.

I say a hearty GOOD LUCK! with that task – identifying, noticing, and releasing mental chatter can be vigilant work, but SOOO worth the effort. Saturn moving through Pisces these days encourages discipline in a spiritual practice that allows you to release the tight grip you have in thinking you can control everything around you to allowing the natural flow of your personal (and our collective) evolution to occur. Let the flow flow!

Is chatter inherently bad?

It is if the chatter is focused on worries, concerns, projections of outcomes you don’t desire, and dwelling on things that have already happened. When you minimize the chatter you allow yourself to be more fully in the present moment. When fully and completely aware in the present moment of NOW you are able to create with clear focus and attention what you wish to experience. EXACTLY New Moon energy – focusing your intention on what you consciously wish to create next in your reality, the next experiences you wish to have.

A Gemini NEW MOON is RIPE to receive new thoughts and new ways to use the mind. You get to choose, moment by moment, what you wish to experience and then watch how what you put your most emotionally charged energy thoughts towards actually come into focus and are actively manifesting.

Just like when the desire to fly became so intensified, humans figured out how to fly. Not to defy the Law of Gravity, but to work WITH it. As you practice manifestation with more focused awareness you will be working WITH the Law of Attraction, which is working all the time anyway. Work WITH the Law of Attraction. I find it to be an endlessly fun and exciting practice. You do it every day! You are working the Law of Attraction every day, whether you are aware of it or not.

Now notice that you are actually working the Law of Attraction every day, all the time. What?!

YES! Awareness brings liberation from the endless chatter. Use this New Moon in Gemini to re-direct your thoughts, re-program your mind to be chattering at you the state of consciousness you would like to experience and watch what happens. Report back! Working with the mind is truly the final frontier. Getting to the South Pole was nothing compared to the vast, uncharted terrain of your own mind!

Neptune square the New Moon

Neptune at 27 degrees Pisces squares the New Moon so all kings of confusing magic can add to some mental disorientation. You might feel disorganized, that things are going their natural course to entropy and that’s freaking you out. Go outside and look for bunnies and flowers and birds. Connect with nature, ground into the Earth. Neptune can come in as a fog blocking your passage or as a doorway into the vortex of your vast imagination, Door #2 please. Ground yourself and then let yourself dream into your next manifestation!
