New Moon in Virgo 8.27.22

I get very excited approaching the New Moon of Virgo. The Virgo New Moon moves into the sign where my Jupiter is and what has felt restricted now feels like it’s opening. I feel like I come alive in the autumn as the Sun, on August 24, has already ingressed into Virgo, the mutable Earth sign following on Leo’s flash and boom. Virgo comes in with a wave of practical energy, taking the creative urges birthed in Leo and turning them into something of use – maybe a book,a painting, an interpretive dance, whatever voice is your creativity. Look to where the New Moon in Virgo falls in your chart and you will see where and how that creative urge, stimulated when the Sun was in Leo, could take form.

It’s fun to track the New Moon moving in the sign of your Jupiter placement. When the New Moon moves into that area of your chart you are able to create movement with more ease and oftimes even with more grace. Even as the Moon moves through that sign each month for about 2 and 1/2 days, you will feel like you have more energy during that time.

I know I welcome those times where I feel I am more in the flow, less fighting to swim upstream. The

New Moon in Virgo is the sign associated with the High Priestess archetype, the harvest goddess, and

the one who channels divine grace into concrete reality. No wonder there is so much perfectionism, sometimes tending towards the obsessive, of the Virgo type as the Virgo type is channeling divine guidance to serve and improve upon what is already there. The desire to do it right can feel so fierce.

I find that doing take-care-of-things tasks activates my Virgo energy and because my Jupiter is in Virgo, when I do my Virgo-an tasks (laundry, ironing, vacuuming, organizing, fussing about) I find that I am more connected with my Jupiterian, expansive self. A good reminder for the Virgo type is that everything already is in a state of perfection and we need only channel what comes through in the way it comes through without judgment or self-criticism and as much fussing as you wish. The fussing and tidying is about creating sacred space energy to flow, doing the same type of space-tending as the priestesses before us did, all to create an opening for divine guidance.

Simple? yes. Easy. uh, I don’t think so. But waaay worth the effort.

Venus at 19 degrees Leo opposes Saturn at 20 degrees Aquarius. It is interesting to watch this dynamic unfold as you find opposing opinions, perhaps inside yourself or from others, about wanting all the spotlight attention for yourself, for your heart, conflicting with feeling responsible to participate in the group or even being influenced by a strong Saturnian leader of a group you are associated with. Let the Virgo moon guide you in your choice. What does your intuition say to do? What feels right? What puts you in the best position to receive guidance for your purpose? Sometimes we need to be alone and sometimes we need to be with others as we navigate times of transition, which we are always in. Virgo gives you the ability to discern what us best for you. Tap into the Virgo energy for discernment.

Uranus turned retrograde at 18 degrees Taurus on August 25, joining Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto already moving retrograde. No use trying to rush or push anything to happen. This is a time to slow down, consider choices, reflect upon what has and has not served you, and move slowly, with patience, towards your next desired experience. You get to choose so choose with divinely guided awareness.

my tiny toad encounter

I had a sweet encounter with a small toad that lives in my front yard. I’ve seen him sunbathing on the stones by the path to the front door. Today as I was sitting at my desk I caught a very slight movement in the leaves that have accumulated in the window well. I looked up and that tiny toad was looking at me through the lace curtain. He had hopped into the window well through the grate but now could not get out. I went upstairs, opened the grate and lifted him back onto his sunbathing stone. I felt so touched by this little guy who had come to share some his reality with me. Look for miracles, blessings, and opportunities to be of service, especially via the natural world we share with so many beings. That’s what the Virgo New Moon is all about.

These are amazing times we are living in and sometimes it’s all just a big blur that can cause all kinds of anxiety responses. The Virgo Moon encourages you to go within, connect with the soft, still space deep inside yourself where peace and joy dwell. Consciously cultivate joy every day. You might enjoy listening to one of our meditations, They are sure to bring you to that peaceful place. and really, isn’t a peaceful inner place the best place for your soul to dwell? MEDITATIONS.

Full Moon at 19 degrees Aquarius
11 August 2022

Before Uranus was discovered in 1781, becoming the ruler of Aquarius, Saturn was traditionally the ruler of Aquarius. The Full Moon at 19 degrees Aquarius conjoins Saturn who is hovering around 22 degrees Aquarius these days. That’s a double whammy dose of Saturnian energy. There can be an emotional coolness and somewhat seemingly dispassionate detachment with Saturn in Aquarius.
Probably you’ll feel it all the more strongly as the emotional Moon tag teams with Saturn. Saturnian vibes can feel pretty heavy, rife with duty and responsibilities and maybe not feel like too much fun all in all. Saturn also gives needed boundaries and what can feel like limitations can also feel like the right vessel holding all the what-must-be dones.
Saturn provides the work; you provide the sanctification of the work.
If you have a strong Saturn in your chart or if you hold a bit (or a lot) of Capricornian and Aquarian energy you undoubtedly are familiar with this energy and might already know how best to use it for the outcomes you wish to experience. For more soft-edged types, this energy can feel harsh so make sure you create the softness you require to manage Saturnian energy. This means extra pampering as you navigate some denser energy.
The more light you infuse into the week, the easier this Full Moon will feel. It’s so important to remember that the cosmic energies are not happening TO you but rather you are part of the cosmic dance. The energy that you bring to any planetary conditions will influence the way you experience that energy.
Ah…Saturnian responsibility. YOU are responsible for how you experience anything and everything.
Is that not the ultimate freedom – the freedom to have the experience you wish to experience? Whoa. Digest that slowly and completely. Saturn will not in any way allow you to blame or step into any type of victim mentality. Saturn says: get REAL! You are the creator of how you experience your reality.
Choose with your innate wisdom, your own unique Saturnian imprint.

pampering required and lots of rest when Saturn energy is strong

Adding some volatility to this lunation, the Mars-Uranus conjunction (Mars at 25 degrees Taurus and Uranus at 19 degrees Taurus) squares the Full Moon. This is a fairly explosive combo of RELEASE energy. LIke a pressure cooker ready to blow, know that any pent-up energy has to go somewhere and so it will. In your own life, look to any areas where you have not expressed yourself and need to. Rather than letting it get to a point of explosion, do a slow release. Identify what can be done to mitigate high tensions and be exceptionally gentle with yourself and others.

Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto are all moving retrograde. Those of us suffering with the plague of impatience (I include myself in this crowd) nothing is going to move at the speed you desire so just chill out as much as possible and allow things to unfold in divine timing, which may or may not align with your own timeline.

New Moon at 5 degrees LEO

New MOON in LEO 7.28.22

The New Moon on July 28 falls at 5 degrees LEO.

Where the New LEO Moon falls in your own chart highlights where your creative intention-setting will blossom. It’s fun and interesting to follow the Moon cycle and the movement of the planets but the real MAGIC happens when you follow the cosmic dance in relation to your own chart. If you are not relating the cosmic dance to your own chart you are missing the relevance and connection to your own life. That’s why events occur and one person is massively affected and another doesn’t notice anything at all. Knowing your chart and relating the planetary rhythms to it gives you a heightened sense of personal awareness and being aware of where you are focusing your attention on your own unfolding journey is what puts you, and keeps you, in the driver’s seat of your life. The more aware you are of where you are the more empowered and JOY-filled you can be. If you want to stay on the proscribed merry-go-round of life so be it, but if you want to run free and create your own ride then being aware of YOU and your desires and your entire unfolding story will set you free.
Curiosity about yourself will lead you into the most treasured territory – the ever unfolding mystery of YOU. The fixed FIRE sign LEO is all about the SELF. Leo rules the heart and the spine, the end all and be all of living in a human incarnation, the very essence of what keeps us in our bodies. LEO rules the 5th house of the astrological chart, the area that rules creativity, love affairs, and children. New Moon in LEO reminds you to fall in love with the child that still lives in you and to do creative, joy-filled activities with her. New Moon in LEO says GET CREATIVE with anything that fills your heart with wonder and delight. Focus only on that and see what unfolds for you.

Retrograde planets July 2022

You are probably familiar with Mercury retrograde as that bit of astrology has hit the main waves of social media but what you may not realize is that all the planets have retrograde cycles. As a planet moves through its retrograde cycle is the time to revisit the effect that planet is creating in your own chart, giving you the opportunity to delve deeply into how best to use that planetary energy for your own insight and growth. Let’s take a look at who’s going retrograde and where.

Jupiter stations retrograde at 8 degrees Aries on the day of the New Moon, July 28.
Jupiter will retrograde all the way back into the previous sign Pisces, to 28 degrees Pisces on November 23. Jupiter will re-enter Aries on December 22, right after the Winter Solstice.
During the months that Jupiter is retrograde consider how and where you expand your consciousness and awareness of your place in the universe. An excellent time to review your philosophy of life, reviewing choices you’ve made (with no judgment!) and considering upgrading your choices to those that align more correctly with what you wish to experience. So for instance, if you are not feeling abundant in love but want to feel more abundant in love, what thoughts are you processing daily that keep you farther way from the love you wish to experience? Are you focusing on the lack or on what you desire?
Saturn is moving retrograde now at 23 degrees Aquarius. Saturn will move retrograde back to 18 degrees Aquarius where it will station direct on October 23. Saturn is the taskmaster of the zodiac, showing you where you step into maturity and responsibility, where you grow by consistent attention to your own growth. Where are you needing to step up and step in to your maturity?
Before Uranus was discovered in 1781, Saturn ruled both Aquarius and Capricorn. Today we consider Uranus the ruler of Aquarius but Saturn still is strongly connected to the Aquarian archetype of chaos and liberation so…where Saturn retrograde in Aquarius falls in your chart will show you where you can be stepping up to the plate to liberate yourself from what keeps you restricted, what keeps you from growing your unicorn horn.
Uranus will station retrograde mid August so we’ll look more at that in a later newsletter.
Neptune is retrograde at 25 degrees Pisces, moving back to 22 degrees Pisces in early December. Connect with your dreams and the information that is coming to you in your meditation time. Connecting with your inner awareness of your deepest connections to Source energy will illuminate your journey.
It’s so much easier to move forward when the path is lit up by your own higher guidance.
Pluto is moving retrograde at 28 degrees Capricorn until October 8 where it will be stationing at 26 degrees Capricorn. Pluto is the roto rooter of the zodiac. Look to where 26-28 degrees Capricorn is in
your chart to see where the deep excavating is going on for you.
Knowing where the planetary energies are moving in your chart will help you to use the planets’ influence to support you in navigating your life journey with more ease and grace.
And who doesn’t want that?
