Full Moon in Cancer 1.6.22
2023 has begun with lots of mischief as Mercury is in full-on retrograde mode. If you have had to travel you might very well have had to completely surrender to Mercury’s madness or you might have slipped through the matrix and had no hassle at all! Just don’t be surprised if things get all confused and cross-wired. Best to just laugh it out and make the very best of whatever situation you find yourself navigating. Mercury retrograde reminds you to find the magic in the moment as you adapt, stay flexible, and enjoy the ride of your life.
Mars stations Direct on January 12 at 8 degrees Gemini but will still be transiting the flighty mutable Air sign until March 25th. So if you thought your mind would be calming down to a less hysterical speed…think again! Or better yet, give yourself a break from thinking all together. Ha! Good luck with that! If you’re American, or are living the American dream, you already know that we are a very thinking culture with a Martian overlay. We tend to overthink and then because of overthinking we take aggressive action when triggered. No need to go over our history, you know what I’m talking about.
The antidote? The healing? The cure (as it were)?
Develop and use your intuitive gifts, your direct connection with your own higher guidance, your own connection to Source energy. Give your rational, I-must-figure-it-out! thinking a freakin’ rest! I mean if you are getting all your information from media (yes, even NPR) or other people who are running the story of doom and gloom, that is all static that you need to clear away in order to hear your own guidance. When you make your connection to Source, plugging in directly to universal wisdom and intelligence, your MAIN PRIORITY, I can pretty much guarantee you that your life will flow with way more ease and grace.
Listen, I grew up and was heavily stewed in the WORRY channel. Until I committed to my healing work (which is basically releasing the stories that keep you from living your potential, which could mean waaay more frolic, fun, peace, and joy than you might be having right now) I was only and ever tuned in to the WORRY channel I was raised on. I would often suggest to my mother (may she be frolicking in her after-this-life!) that she offer a 900 number service: I worry for you. I learned from and was laser-beam indoctrinated into her worry channel. She was truly a master.
I always felt there was another way to experience life and I searched that other path out relentlessly. That is the healing journey.Am I 100% healed of the WORRY channel? Almost. I still stick my toe back into that sludge occasionally, which, by the way, can quickly become a sinkhole and suck me into a vortex where everything is WORRY. But I have tools and I have community to connect with to work through my healing process, to return to the pure state of JOY which is the birthright of us humans.
Cats are sensitive like the Full Moon in Cancer
(and hey! for any cats who might be reading this, you already live in some feline nirvana – that’s why cat lovers CRAVE cats – they remind us of blissful nirvana and we sooo want that!)

You probably thought I forgot about the Full Moon on the rise, sticking its information so way at the bottom of this post, as if it weren’t important. Quite the contrary. I was setting the stage, creating a welcoming, emotionally safe vibration – all to give you the heads-up on the deeply sensitive nature of the Full Moon at 16 degrees Cancer. Cancer is a finely tuned emotional barometer of circumstances. Cancer’s desire to feel safe, to feel secure, is paramount and that is why she is constantly feeling into the emotional field – so that, through awareness, she can make any necessary adjustments to keep aligned with her necessary vibration. Like how a crab retreats into its shell when it feels threatened. If you have Cancer strong in your chart you might yourself retreat into your bed, or other safe nook in your house, to calm yourself and center yourself in the safe zone you create.
This Cancerian energy will be prevalent during the Full Moon this week. With the intuitive illumination of the Full Moon light, look to where your sense of safety and security is anchored and where you can make adjustments to accommodate your level of sensitivity. Full Moons, each month, invite you to see through your feelings, a time when your intuitive faculties are amplified. That’s why you can feel agitated at the Full Moon and during the days leading up to the Full Moon – your vibrational energy raises in order to be able to see more clearly what needs to be released in order to support the next phase of your intention-setting whenthe New Moon comes around in 2 weeks.
Not to forget that Jupiter is just settling in to the very first degrees of Aries. Where the first degrees of Aries fall in your own chart you will probably be feeling quite a burst of energy. And any planets or points triggered by Jupiter will be super amplified.
