Full Moon in Capricorn follows the Summer Solstice 2024

Summer is nigh upon us in the Northern hemisphere as the Sun enters the zero degree of Cancer on 6.20.24 – the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice. We rejoice and frolic at the wonders Nature brings forth in abundance – flowers and butterflies and warmth. Then the days will begin to shorten as we turn towards the Winter Solstice in December, the ongoing cycle of life and rebirth in our relationship to our great central star, the SUN.

The Full Moon at 1 degree Capricorn (opposite the Sun at one degree Cancer) follows right on the heels of the Summer Solstice. Capricorn reminds us there is work to be done, ways to show up fully committed, and things to be attended to in order to reach desired goals. Capricorn is like the CEO of the zodiac, able to see the big picture and all that needs to get done to get to where you want to get.

It could be your big goal these days is to maintain a center core of peace and calm in the midst of what can feel like overwhelming energies bombarding from all sides. It could be world events and consequences rocking your world right now or dealing with other people or confronting your own limitations. I confronted my own limitations with a gift I received from a friend, a gift of an African Violet plant. She had told me months ago that she had many African Violets and she’d be happy to give me one. I imagined, in my limited thinking, a small plant with a few leaves, something in a tiny pot, a cutting from her Mother plant. To my absolute utter thrill the African Violet plant she gifted me with is ginormous, the largest African Violet plant I have ever seen, and covered with clusters of Crayola crayon petunia-colored blossoms! ! Totally busted on my limited thinking. Sofia (Pronounced so-fy-a) – she told me her name – is glorious and I revel in her abundance as a reminder to expand my receiving to its maximum potential, which could be limitless after all! I tried to get a good picture of her to share but all the pictures I took did no justice to her beauty and largesse.

The Full Moon at 1 degree Capricorn is in exact out-of-sign square to Neptune at 29 degrees Pisces. That Capricorn energy is push, pushing, pushing to make something of the dreams and visions born in the Neptunian realm. Whatever effort you make these days to bring form to your ideas will be greatly rewarded. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, which is also transiting Pisces these days, brings results from effort. Identify where you have limited thinking, where you resist the challenge to be your grand and wonderful self and resolve to release your limitations with the power of this Full Moon. New Moon is intention -setting, Full Moon is RELEASE!

New Moon in Gemini 6.6.24 Venus, Mercury, Jupiter in Gemini!

This New Moon is screaming Gemini with the Sun, the Moon, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter all transiting Gemini as the New Moon arrives at 16 degrees Gemini on June 6th. Venus makes an exact conjunction with the New Moon, adding the LOVE planet’s curiosity and her love of Life’s intricate dance, orchestrated by the mind. Mercury, planetary ruler of Gemini, and Jupiter, planet of expansion, ruler of Sagittarius (opposite Gemini on the zodiac wheel) emphasize the role of the mind in creating your reality. NO surprise there, right?!

The mutable Air Sign Gemini is often depicted with the symbol of the Twins…am I seeing double or we just spinning faster and faster? I notice the faster outer circumstances seem to be spinning, the slower I go, or sometimes I even come to a complete halt, like being on an airplane – the plane is going waaay fast and yet I am not moving at all, comfy in my seat. I attribute this ‘calm amidst to the storm’ to work done clearing trauma and imprinted programming. You can shift your primal programming to one of more ease and grace. Saturn can feel like a limiting force but really Saturn just wants you to mature into your mastery.

Mars (action/aggression) and Eris (discord) and Chiron (karmic wounding turned to healing) wrestling it out in Mars-ruled Aries. Aggression can be heightened. Jupiter and Venus in Gemini – watch for your expanding head bubble!

As Jupiter has moved from the fixed Earth sign Taurus into the mutable Air sign Gemini you can expect lots more talking, conversation, fact-collecting, information-gathering, and movement in general, particularly in the area of your chart where Gemini sits. I always envision Gemini energy as a butterfly in the garden, flitting from one interesting and exciting experience to another. Gemini energy is lit up and energized so the need for grounding is even more important. Your head bubble will be highly activated so staying in your body and grounding into the Earth energy will help you to stay focused. Staying focused is not a Gemini trait. I mean really, so many cool things to entertain and engage your mind! Staying focused is important these days so you do not get distracted from your work.

High Priestess work these days is about holding the vessel for change, to allow for the NEW to come in as the OLD falls away. This is the FOCUS for the change-bringers. No doubt you are a change-bringer if you are tuned in to my work.

Venus is also transiting Gemini now until June 17th. Gather your information as it will be coming to you lots these days but do not get attached to anything that does not resonate with your heart. Heart! Heart! Heart! Does it FEEL correct? If not, let it pass you by.

As Pluto is now in retrograde motion (Pluto stationed retrograde on May 2) it will move back into Capricorn from September 2 – November 19. The old system will be blasted once again with Plutonian roto-rooter energy. After mid-November Pluto moves through the Uranus-ruled sign of Aquarius for the next 20 years. Buckle up! Change is a’coming. BE the bringer of change you wish to see. The fence between what was and what is becoming is not a fence you will be able to straddle for very long.
